The irrepressible (I mean it, Jesus, how do you have so much energy)
tozka just started up a weekly-ish comm for collecting posts on, about, and in fandom--what we used to call "meta" back in the day. This seems to be designed as a successor to
metafandom, and long may it live.
(While we're on the subject of fandom meta, this is what I love most about fandom--the way people think 'hey, I like this thing and want to see more of it,' and then just go do the thing themselves. It's such a community-minded and resourceful attitude.)

Hello all, and welcome to the first issue of This Week in Meta! Depending on how much we find each week, this will be at LEAST a twice-weekly pan-fandom newsletter centered around fandom meta and discussions.

Date: 2019-01-22 05:12 pm (UTC)xD After finishing grad school in December I am BURSTING AT THE SEAMS to do something fun and fannish. I'd put it off for YEARS because of a) grad school b) trying to find work c) being nervous to try stuff-- and now I've gotten to the perfect combined moment of not being in school, having a f/t job I'm comfortable at, and being more confident. So I'm trying stuff!
And if it implodes, or doesn't work out, then I'm still happy I tried. (I don't think it'll implode, no worries. Honestly, I'm more worried about posting TOO OFTEN and annoying people. I have found SO MUCH STUFF I don't know if I can even stick to my 2x weekly idea because the posts will be massive.)
